PHYSICAL - MECHANICAL, THERMAL AND RHEOLOGICAL TESTSTESTS

Density determination

Rheological characterization test capable of identifying the density of a thermoplastic or elastomeric material.

With this test we intend to determine the density of a material, which would be an intrinsic rheological property, calculated by means of the ratio between the mass of the sample based on its volume. For this reason, the test is performed using an analytical balance and immersion in a known liquid, for the difference between the weight in air and the weight in liquid, the instrument automatically calculates the property sought.

This is one of the basic rheological characteristics required in the technical data sheets of the materials on the market.

The Plastlab laboratory is also able to perform the test according to ISO 1183-1 standard methods.
