Test stone-chipping or stone-bashing

Simulation of stone or gravel hits on the front parts of the car.

Test performed mainly on painted products, for the evaluation of the resistance of the paintwork to impacts from crushed stone or regulated gravel, in order to simulate the component in operation.

Test aimed at components that could be hit by stone chips in their daily life, therefore all components that are positioned in the lower part of the car, such as bumpers, lights or emblems.

The test can be performed on a new component, which therefore has not undergone conditioning, and after humidity or resistance to low temperatures.

The laboratory is accredited to carry out tests according to UNI EN ISO 20567-1.
